Chris Fraser was a bank teller with no medical background or training but he’s now a registered nurse (RN) and health services manager in Halifax. He decided to go back to University and train to be a registered nurse (RN) after he became a living kidney donor to his younger sister. His sister was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease (PKD) at six weeks old and she spent nineteen years undergoing treatment and monitoring. When it was found that Chris did not have PKD, he decided to donate his kidney to her. Chris is a father and is proud to be able to give his sister a new lease on life.
