Dr. Mike Moser

Dr. Mike Moser is a kidney transplant surgeon who practices in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He is deeply committed to raising awareness about organ donation and transplantation, a passion that started during his transplant training in London, Ontario, as he puts it, "at the turn of the century." As a transplant surgeon, Dr. Moser believes that getting the word out about organ donation is an important part of his career as a transplant surgeon since, without organ donor heroes, there can be no transplants.  Over the years, Dr. Moser has been actively involved in various initiatives aimed at educating the public about organ donation, including visiting school classrooms and assemblies, working with the Kidney Foundation, taking part in radio interviews discussing "memorable transplant stories," and participating in a think tank on the subject of Indigenous organ donation and transplantation. For Dr. Moser, raising awareness about organ donation is just "part of the job" of being a transplant surgeon, and Great Actions Leave a Mark is a powerful way to get the word out about living donation.
