Howard & Byron

- Howard is a retired geologist. When his brother was diagnosed with kidney disease and told he needed dialysis or a kidney transplant to save his life, it was an immediate competition with his other brother of who could be accepted as the donor first. After a potential issue with his lung, delaying the start, Howard was cleared with a good bill of health and able to move forward as his brother's donor. Howard was thrilled, and as early as he could post transplant, he was up checking on his brother.

- Byron's family tree is filled with lobster and crab fisherman. Byron is part of the family business. He runs his own business, working at the back of the boat. He was losing energy and unable to work on his boat, which was devastating to him, forcing him to retire early. He was terrified when he was told his kidneys were failing, and that he would need dialysis or a transplant. Both of his brothers stepped forward to become his donor. During the workup process, Byron had a heart attack and needed dialysis due to his kidney function. All he wanted to do was sleep, making it impossible to fish. His brother Howard was found to be a fantastic match, and they had the transplant, allowing Bryon to return to his boat. He now invites everyone to enjoy some crab or lobster with him and his family.
